Telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse braces herself for trouble when another group of supernatural beings goes public in her disjointed [ninth] adventure (after 2008's From Dead to Worse). Following the vampires' lead, the shape-shifters decide to step out of the woodwork and announce their existence to the world. While the initial reveal goes smoothly, the brutal crucifixion of a young werepanther behind the local bar makes Sookie wonder if the people of Bon Temps, La., are as tolerant as she thought. Meanwhile, the FBI is asking questions about Sookie's uncanny ability to locate survivors after an explosion, and trouble is brewing among the secretive fae.

# 13 Read 50 books in 1 year

Bite Me, Christopher Moore
This book takes place after You Suck.  Very quick read and entertaining although the main character gets on my nerves. :)

The city of San Francisco is being stalked by a huge shaved vampyre cat named Chet, and only I, Abby Normal, emergency backup mistress of the Greater Bay Area night, and my manga-haired love monkey, Foo Dog, stand between the ravenous monster and a bloody massacre of the general public.
Whoa. And this is a love story? Yup. 'Cept there's no whining. See, while some lovers were born to run, Jody and Tommy were born to bite. Well, reborn, that is, now that they're vampires. Good thing theirs is an undying love, since their Goth Girl Friday, Abby Normal, imprisoned them in a bronze statue.
Abby wants to be a bloodsucking fiend, too, but right now she's really busy with other stuff, like breaking in a pair of red vinyl thigh-high Skankenstein® platform boots and wrangling her Ph.D.-candidate boyfriend, Steve (the love monkey). And then there's that vampire cat Chet, who's getting bigger and smarter—and thirstier—by the minute. Abby thought she and Steve could handle the kitty cat on their own, mais non . . .
Before you can say "OMG! WTF?" Tommy and Jody are sprung from captivity, and join forces with Abby, Steve, the frozen-turkey-bowling Safeway crew, the Emperor of San Francisco and his trusty dogs Lazarus and Bummer, Abby's gay Goth friend Jared, and SF's finest Cavuto and Rivera to hunt big cat and save the city. And that's when the fun really begins.

# 35 Try a new recipe each month

I made this for Mother's Day and it is absolutely heavenly. Very easy to make and so yummy. Everyone enjoyed it.

Chocolate-Raspberry Tart (Everyday Food, May 2010)

32 chocolate wafer cookies (about 8 oz.)  I used Chocolate Graham crackers

2 Tbs. sugar

coarse salt

6 Tbs. (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, melted

12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips

1 1/4 cups heavy cream

1 1/2 cups fresh raspberries (6 oz.)

1. Preheat oven to 350. In a food processor, combine cookies, sugar, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Process until very fine crumbs form. Add butter and pulse until mixture just comes together. Press crumbs firmly into a 9-inch fluted tart pan with a removable bottom. Place on a baking sheet and bake until crust is dry and set, 20 minutes. Let cool.

2. In a large bowl, combine chocolate and pinch of salt. In a small saucepan, bring cream to a bare simmer over medium-high. Immediately pour cream over chocolate and let stand 1 minute. Stir gently until chocolate melts and mixture is completely smooth. Pour chocolate into cooled tart shell and refrigerate until set, 30 minutes. To serve, remove tart from pan and scatter raspberries on top.

# 13 Read 50 Book in 1 year

I'm so behind, it's pathetic.

#6 Coyote Blue by Christopher Moore

I love all the books by Moore and this was one that I was putting off reading for a while. Fun book!

As a boy growing up in Montana, he was Samson Hunts Alone -- until a deadly misunderstanding with the law forced him to flee the Crow reservation at age fifteen. Today he is Samuel Hunter, a successful Santa Barbara insurance salesman with a Mercedes, a condo, and a hollow, invented life. Then one day, shortly after his thirty-fifth birthday, destiny offers him the dangerous gift of love -- in the exquisite form of Calliope Kincaid -- and a curse in the unheralded appearance of an ancient Indian god by the name of Coyote. Coyote, the trickster, has arrived to transform tranquillity into chaos, to reawaken the mystical storyteller within Sam . . . and to seriously screw up his existence in the process.

#6 Take my own Maternity pictures

FAIL.

We went out last weekend to try and take some maternity shots. At first I would position DH and show him where I was going to stand/sit and where I wanted him to stand and what angle to take the picture. This turned out to be very frustrating. I love him to death, but the man does not take the best pictures. He just doesn't have the same eye and it is really hard to direct someone when you are hungry and tired. I really should have brought the tripod. I was getting so stressed and anxious because there was a ton of people just watching us. Mind your own buisness people. I guess it doesn't really help when I hate every picture of me. I'm very insecure so I find problems with all of them. Oh well, I tried. Sigh. Maybe, just maybe I will try it again this weekend.
